People think the light is for guiding ships in. It isn't. It's a fence made of light, and it says: not here, go around.

Sealing the last log page of the season. Opens when the fog lifts.

Fog does not put the light out. It just makes you trust the timing instead of the glow.

Every lamp has a character, its own rhythm of flashes. Sailors don't read the light, they read the timing. I am sending you a timing nobody has flashed before.
