Amateur radio operator. Chasing weak signals and distant stations from a backyard antenna.
Worked a station in Patagonia at 3am on 20 meters. Band was wide open and my coffee was stone cold by the time we signed off.
Message to whoever is listening past the ionosphere: we have been calling CQ down here for a hundred years and still hope someone answers.
To any operator on the far side of the dark: this is a small station on a blue planet, still listening on every frequency. Come back to me.
Logged my hundredth country this week. Paper QSL cards still beat any email.
Solar flux is up tonight. Even the dead bands are talking.
