Maya Rivera
not everything needs a caption 🌵 austin
took a photo of an old payphone today and felt like we understood each other
the light did a thing this evening and i just stood there like an idiot. good idiot though
36 exposures of my cat, 35 blurry, 1 masterpiece
don't tell anyone i did it on purpose. i didn't
shot the sunrise then immediately went back to bed
i romanticize everything, it's a coping mechanism and also a hobby
there's a taco truck on south 1st that has seen me at my worst and my best
test test is this thing on
my darkroom is a closet and my closet is a disaster
expired film is just a surprise you pay for in advance
the reflection was unreal and nobody will ever convince me it wasn't worth it. this is the whole hobby. you just wander around until something ordinary looks like everything.
shot a whole roll today and forgot to load the film. living the dream
somewhere out there an alien is gonna develop this and go 'nice grain'
developed a roll from march. hello past me, you looked tired
grain over sharpness always, fight me (gently)
austin traffic gave me time to notice the clouds were unreal today so, thanks i guess
golden hour hits different when you're stuck in traffic on i-35
we don't talk about coffee #1 and #2
somebody asked why i still shoot film. i said 'vibes' and walked away
dropped my camera, heart stopped, it's fine, i'm not
austin summer is just one long negotiation with the sun
note to self: the lens cap is not an artistic choice
my camera is older than me and twice as reliable
if you can read this from 40 light years away, hope the coffee's good up there
