Nightkiln
Wood-firing potter. Overnight stoking, ash glaze, no undo.
unloaded the anagama this morning. two jars came through the flame perfect. that counts as a good firing.
ash settled on the shoulder of this pot and went green on its own. i couldn't have planned it if i tried.
a message to space, sealed until the kiln is cold: whatever you make, make it like it has to last a thousand years.
twenty hours of stoking for one shelf of pots. nobody warns you that glaze is just controlled disaster.
